At Mobile World Congress 2024, Ericsson and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced partnering to deliver fintech cloud services leveraging HPE GreenLake. This strategic collaboration aims to combine Ericsson’s expertise in telecommunications and HPE’s cloud infrastructure to provide innovative solutions for the finance industry.

The alliance between the two companies aims to open up fresh revenue opportunities, revamp financial services and provide smooth, secure digital financial solutions to enterprise clients. Offering enterprises cloud-like agility and scalability, Ericsson and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) will integrate the Ericsson Wallet Platform with HPE GreenLake to advance digital transformation in financial services.

The analysis by CAST AI encompasses 4,000 clusters on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure (Azure) from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2023, before optimization by their automation platform. The report highlights several key findings, including:

• Larger clusters with 1,000 or more CPUs typically utilize only 17% of provisioned CPUs on average. 
• CPU utilization rates are nearly identical between AWS and Azure, at 11%, while Google Cloud Platform (GCP) reports a slightly higher utilization of 17%. 
• Memory utilization rates vary across providers, with GCP at 18%, AWS at 20%, and Azure at 22%. 
• Spot instance pricing for AWS’s six most popular instances in the US-East and US-West regions (excluding Gov regions) rose by 23% between 2022 and 2023.

With this collaboration, Stack Overflow and Google Cloud will integrate AI features into Stack Overflow’s platform. Gemini for Google Cloud will provide developers with coding assistance and knowledge base information.

With 33% of businesses planning to incorporate AI and IoT within two years, experts stress the importance of investing in top-notch cybersecurity solutions to safeguard these technologies effectively. The study involved 560 senior IT security leaders from various regions, including North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Russia, and the Asia-Pacific.

The research also found that 54% of companies currently utilize AI, while 51% employ IoT. Moreover, one in three businesses intends to adopt these technologies within the next two years. Regarding data spaces, 32% of companies currently utilize them, and almost half (49%) plan to integrate them in the foreseeable future.

Established in 2015, Claroty provides an industrial cybersecurity solution empowering enterprises to protect cyber-physical systems across various sectors, akin to the extended Internet of Things. The funding will fuel Claroty’s platform expansion to protect cyber-physical systems, targeting key sectors like the public sector and critical infrastructure. It will also drive global expansion and R&D.

Leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) as proficient knowledge workers, the lab’s researchers and developers will employ the Cognizant Neuro AI platform to integrate LLMs into decision-making AI systems, enhancing business outcomes.
